Meet Ashlee, the brains and beauty behind the couture bridal and fashion accessories company and brand Ashlee Lauren. I first met Ashlee and her beautiful Mum at the Australian Bridal Industry Association (ABIA) awards in Adelaide and I have been a massive fan ever since. She is smart, driven, drop dead gorgeous but most importantly a delightful human.
Qualified in Visual Communications and growing up with a Grandma who was a dress maker, Ashlee was destined to design. Some of her earliest memories were sitting at the table with her Mum, drawing, creating and imagining. It was something that the women in her family loved doing and that is exactly how the idea for Ashlee Lauren was born. In the midst of her own wedding planning Ashlee sat down once again with her Mum and Grandma to start designing her wedding accessories.
Before long they were custom making items for their friend’s weddings and had a portfolio of products on Etsy. They became well adverse in the craft of designing wedding accessories. Together they pushed each other to be fearless and to pursuit their dream but I am sure even in their wildest dreams they never imagined success to this magnitude. From the humble beginnings around their kitchen table in Mt Gambier, Ashlee Lauren is now a global brand.
Offering hand-made couture bridal accessories, crowns and race wear Ashlee Lauren designs have been showcased all over the world, New York Fashion Week, Adelaide Fashion Festival, Melbourne Cup, the Grammy’s and most recently have been ranged throughout Australia in Myer. Amidst all of this, you will still find Ashlee and her Mum (plus a few added team members) working from their garage studio in Mt Gambier. It’s their happy place.
