INTRODUCING MY NOVEMBER SUPPLIER OF THE MONTH

HYGGE STUDIO

Let me introduce you to one of Adelaide’s best…. Hygge Studio. Whether you’re looking for Styling, planning support, stationery, lighting or florals, the team at Hygge have a vision and passion to bring it to life. The ladies at Hygge have a wonderful reputation for attention to detail, for thinking outside the box and for making everything happen with a smile on their faces.

So, who are these smiling faces I speak of? Lucy Temme and Rachel Evans are the owners and creators of Hygge. Rachel started Hygge about 5 years ago primarily as a graphics and styling based studio. Recently married at the time, and with a background in styling and management, Lucy approached Rachel to combine forces and they now offer the full package of event styling, management, graphics, floristry, lighting and custom design and hire.

Everything they supply for weddings is created in house, which means they need a power force behind them. Cleve is their carpenter / electrician and all-round superstar who can build anything. Elise is their event coordinator; Rachelle manages the hire department and Christabel is their lead florist. Together along with some other regular florists and set up crews they have created a fun and vibrant work place.

When I think about my interactions with Hygge there are two things that come to mind. One, the set up is always breathtaking and two, the couples are calm. Hygge have a wonderful ability to overdeliver, with a style that is whimsical and eclectic inspired by you. They take the stress of planning, styling and creating away so that you can focus on your day…. On your very special moment.

When I asked Rachel and Lucy what they loved about weddings they said ‘being able to come up with unique and exciting weddings that are true to the Hygge concept, and then seeing them come to life. It’s always quite emotional seeing these beautiful people that we have got to know over the last year or so, say their vows in front of their special people. Having the trust of our couples to come up with something that they might not be able to envision themselves, is such an honour. We are so lucky that we keep getting clients that trust us enough with the most important day of their lives.’

And one last question that I know you are all wondering. What does Hygge mean? Well you will just have to visit their website to find out. And while you’re there discover how amazing this South Australian business is.
