KERIN BURFORD PHOTOGRAPHY
I first met Kerin at Howard Vineyard for the beautiful wedding of Riley and Christina. I had been stalking her on social media for some time and was very excited to finally meet her in person. I knew she was an amazing photographer and I was so pleased to discover she is also a wonderful person. Kind, gentle, humble and just a pleasure to be around. I ran her through the ceremony plan and she responded ‘I’m sure it will be amazing, just own it.’ To this day that comment has stuck in my mind and has become a mantra I use pre wedding.
Kerin is a respected photographer not only in the wedding industry but in many areas of her profession. She has been named AIPP SA Portrait Photographer of the year several times and runner up AIPP SA Wedding Photographer of the year twice, amongst many other accolades. And she is smart, with an Advanced Diploma in Commercial Photography and an AIPP Master of Photography. I think it’s the combination of passion, natural talent and ongoing desire to learn that have helped to make Kerin the talented photographer she is today.
Kerin’s love of photography was born at just 10 years of age when her Grandma gave her a camera. Since that day photography has always been a part of her life and for the last 25 years it has also been her full-time job. She has captured hundreds of weddings but limits her bookings every year to ensure her work can remain fresh and inspired. When I asked Kerin what she loves about capturing weddings she said ‘I love LOVE. In its' many forms. Couples, families and friendships. I feel every wedding I shoot, I still get teary behind the lens, even after shooting hundreds and hundreds. It’s not just about a couple, but about all the human connections and relationships surrounding that and I adore telling the stories with my cameras. It never gets old, it’s such a buzz.‘
