SUNNYBRAE ESTATE
I think everyone remembers their first visit to Sunnybrae Estate because it is such a pleasant surprise. 12 minutes from the city and suddenly you are surrounded by leafy green trees, blooming flowers, beautifully maintained heritage listed buildings and of course their famous peacocks. I have married more people at Sunnybrae Estate then any other venue in Australia making them the obvious choice for my December supplier of the month.
Established in 1882 Sunnybrae was once part of a much larger working farm owned by Richard Day known as ‘Days Farm’. Over time this venue has not only been carefully maintained, it has also been updated while still respecting the integrity of its history. The very popular reception room now known as the ‘Coach House’ was actually once a cow milking shed. It has a gorgeous rustic barn feel that holds 120 seated guests to 400 cocktail. In 1999 ‘The Pavillion’ was built, a smaller function room that opens up to the rose garden, holding 50 seated to 150 cocktail. And finally the crème da le crème….. built just in time for the 2018/2019 wedding season…. The marque. Its white curved solid roof will keep the elements out while the clear walls bring the gardens in. Currently unmatched in Adelaide you have to see this beautiful marque to believe it.
Sunnybrae Estate is a South Australian family owned and operated business, they have been in the industry for over 20 years and they genuinely care about their clients. I see that time and time again with their relaxed ‘nothing is too hard’ attitude. They want their couples to have the best day and they do.
If you are looking for a venue close to the city that feels like you are worlds a part then I encourage you to visit Jimmy and his wonderful team at Sunnybrae Estate.
