INTRODUCING MY APRIL SUPPLIER OF THE MONTH

Updated: Apr 30, 2019

HOWARD VINEYARD

I love wine, I love weddings and I love the Adelaide Hills….. so when a venue ticks all these boxes and does them well, I obviously need to talk about them. If you haven’t heard of Howard Vineyard in Nairne by now, then it is very possible you are living under a rock. But don’t worry, I am about to enlighten you on this gorgeous venue.

The first thing you will notice when you visit Howard Vineyard is the beautiful backdrop, there are so many different aspects to take in and so many gorgeous photo opportunities. The second thing you will notice are the very friendly staff. From the gorgeous winemaker Tom, to the lovely wedding coordinator Laura. They are all professionals in their respective fields but never too busy to have a chat and make you feel like you are a part of the team.

I have had the pleasure in conducting multiple weddings at Howard Vineyard and I am always pleasantly surprised to see that they are never the same. With multiple ceremony locations and different reception set up options, there is no cookie cutter approach. They tailor your wedding day to suit you, with peace of mind, they are seasoned campaigners and know exactly what they’re doing. Plus….. did I mention they make some of the best wine in the Adelaide Hill’s.

The stone barn that frames the function room and cellar door is the original barn built in 1890 by Horticulturist and founder Amos William Howard. The location was chosen for its subterranean clover and picturesque grounds and is still well regarded for its delicate red grapes. 30km away and at an altitude of 470m Howards also grow some of the Adelaide Hill’s finest white grapes, used to make their crisp sparkling and white wines. The two unique vineyards allow Howard to offer a range of delicate and fruity sparkling’s, whites, roses and reds.

If wine is the foundation of Howard Vineyard then weddings are the heart. Howard Vineyard has been hosting weddings for around ten years but has grown hugely in popularity over the last five years. They have recently upgraded their cellar door and function space and are always looking for new ways to improve and refine their offer. They love helping couples host their wedding day and say it is a rewarding and magical experience. They believe that getting to know a couple, being a part of months of planning and then seeing it all come together with so much love is the most delightful experience.

Howard Vineyards are very well regarded in the wedding industry, not just because they have a gorgeous venue but because their venue is filled with great food, lovely staff and amazing wine. Whether you’re looking for a wedding venue or somewhere to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, I highly recommend Howard Vineyard.
