INTRODUCING MY NOVEMBER SUPPLIER OF THE MONTH

I DO PAWS

Let’s talk fur babies!! Because I have found someone who FINALLY understands the love a couple can have for their four-legged friend. Meet Emily, 27-year-old mastermind of ‘I Do Paws’, Adelaide’s most popular wedding dog chaperone. I first met Emily at Coriole Winery when I had the pleasure of marrying Tom & Julia. Their fur baby was Archie the Groodle and it was so important to them that he shared in their day. Archie was a standout – he made the perfect entrance, sat patiently throughout the ceremony, brought the rings up and was a superstar for photos. I have no doubt the memories he helped Mum and Dad create that day are irreplaceable.

The idea for I Do Paws started when Emily married her husband Ryan and knew their fur baby Ace the Australian Shepard had to be there. She spent a lot of time planning who would pick him up, look after him during the ceremony, make sure he was fed and had water, pick up after him and bring him home. It was an added stress that no bride needs. Being a vet nurse, dog trainer and a lover of all things furry, Emily realised she was the one who could help couples that wanted their four-legged friends to be a part of their wedding day.

Emily launched her service in 2017 and couples started flowing in, she has over 50 weddings booked for this upcoming season. I Do Paws offer everything your dog could need and everything you could want for their wedding day. They even do pre-wedding day training, grooming and can take the dog for the night until you return home. Most importantly, on your wedding day you know your dog will be there, safe, happy, controlled and a part of the most important day in your family’s life.

When I asked Emily what her couples said about her service post ceremony she said ‘My motto is to under promise and over deliver. Couples love the extra effort and services that I give to them and their pup. I treat the couple’s dog like it’s my own and couples adore the attention, care and love I offer to their furry child.’ And it’s true! Couples are raving about I Do Paws and Emily is quickly becoming known as the doggy whisperer.

Emily has an amazing ability to read dogs behaviour. As a vet nurse and dog trainer she can judge a dog’s body language and intervene before they act up. Whether it be a little walk, a belly rub or access to her secret stash of treats, she will ensure your pooch is on its best behaviour. I have conducted so many weddings with dogs involved and there is always an element of calmness when I Do Paws is there. The couple know their dog is happy and safe and can be present in the moment and enjoy that very special time. If you are thinking about having your fur baby at your wedding then I encourage you to have a look at Emily’s amazing services. You won’t be disappointed.
